Picture Frame, Chocolate & Diamonds | Birthday Gift

My girlfriends and I used to play tennis but no longer. Age and injuries got the best of us, but we still like to keep in touch by having brunch together on Saturdays.

The perfect gift to celebrate a friend’s birthday!

Carol is the glue for this girls’ group. She contacts us to set up when and where we will meet. I love her for keeping us close and connected.

Years ago, Carol gave all of us a “team picture” that I still have on my desk at the office. I cherish that picture and the memories of fun times together. It always makes me smile!

When I saw a picture frame with the word Friends on it, I thought this would be perfect for Carol’s birthday the next time we got together.

I didn’t have pictures of us to place in the frame but I knew Carol would so I came up with wording that would cutesify the gift. I printed images that read “Girls and friends go together like chocolate and diamonds!”

I also purchased Ghirardelli chocolates and crystal shaped diamonds from the craft store to go with the picture frame.

At our next get together, Carol received the frame, chocolates and diamonds for her gift, and I gave chocolates and diamonds to our other teammates in celebration of our friendship.

After a few short hours of celebrating, eating, talking, laughing and sharing our busy lives, it’s time to go but not without Carol taking out her iPhone calendar and scheduling our next Saturday brunch!

Time spent with friends is time well spent!
