A Minion Laughs | Get Well Gift
I hate that six-letter word. Cancer.
Laughter is the best medicine.
It never comes alone. It always brings its ugly friends – Fear, Anxiety, and Pain.
We can’t help but ask God, “Why??”
When someone we care about finds out they have cancer or some other major health issue, we may struggle to find the right words to say or the right thing to do that might provide comfort and hope to their situation.
I’ve found that one of the best things you can do for someone who is sick or ill is to make them laugh. Laughter is the best medicine, and it’s completely natural with no nasty side effects!
When Queen Darlene finished her radiation treatments for breast cancer, I gave her a gift to celebrate. What thoughtful gift did I get her? I gave her a kids toy. But not just any toy – a Despicable Me Minion Stuart Laughing Action Figure
Queen Darlene plays with Stuart, her Minion laughing action figure. It can pretty much guarantee to make anyone laugh or giggle!
I love that he’s called a laughing action figure! Stuart giggles and says more than 45 different things in that cute and uniquely distinct Minion voice, and he even comes with a Laugh Out Loud mode!
It’s physically impossible to listen to Stuart without smiling and laughing. He’s that contagious!
For a “thoughtful twist,” I created a special card to give with Stuart. The front read, “Laughter is the best medicine.” The inside read, “Stuart here will make you laugh a Minion times.”
Queen Darlene loved her gift! She showed it to all her friends and told them that if they ever needed a laugh they could borrow Stuart.

Stuart would also make a wonderful pay it forward gift where the gift recipient keeps him until they know or meet someone who needs cheering up and they give Stuart to that person. That person does the same and so on and so on and before you know it Stuart really has made people laugh a million times!
