I love Girl Scouts cookie season! It’s a chance to buy delicious cookies while helping girls raise money for their troop.

My favorite thing to hear is when a Girl Scout tells me her troop is raising money so they can go to camp.

That always warms my heart because of the incredible summer camp memories I have from my childhood.

Toy baskets are a parent’s best friend…

Because they spend so much of their time picking up toys off the floor. Again and again and again.

Someone has to pick up those 50 Hot Wheels cars and those 150 pieces of Mega Bloks. Yes, I make my kids help me a lot of the time but sometimes it’s just faster and easier to do it myself.

Toy baskets make it easy for parents (and kids) to clean up from room to room and the pretty baskets make cute storage space.

Their open top makes it simple to take things in and out, and they’re light enough even the kids can move them around. They can be filled with anything from large wooden toys to soft stuffed animals. They are just so convenient!

Life with children is a beautiful mess and toy baskets make it cleaner and more organized.

Some people love being able to watch movies on their home entertainment system, but others love the original movie watching experience–in an actual movie theater!

They want a cinematic experience that involves sitting in a dark theater watching a film on a three-story screen while listening to the audio come out of a massive speaker system. For them, it’s just not the same watching movies at home.

There is another reason some people love going to the movies.

They want to see a movie as soon as it comes out. They don’t want to wait months for it to become available on Redbox, on Netflix or on DVD.

Psst. I personally love the social aspect of watching horror movies inside a crowded theater–to feel dozens of strangers suck in their breath together in anticipation or to hear a blood curdling screen come from someone sitting in the row behind you.

My son and I were shopping at an outdoor mall when he found a piece of “treasure.”

He held it in the palm of his little hand. The look on his excited and eager face said, “Can I keep it?”

He showed me a smooth, round rock painted red with blue polkadots and a large pink heart.

Painted on the back were the words, “Facebook Frogville Rocks #FrogvilleRocks.”

I explained to my son that someone must have wanted him to find the rock and that the person wanted us to visit their Facebook page.

I never really believed in a rabbit’s foot for good luck. Think about it… losing a foot wasn’t very good luck for the rabbit.
